replacement rims for 89??
1) 225/55/17 26.8" diameter all the way around OR
2) 225/50/17 25.7" diameter.. will these tires fit?
either size will need a 7" rim. will these rims fit? ?
17/5-4.75(120.06mm)/7" +40 off set, ??
the key information is the offset.. is 40 mm enough?? how is this calculated?
stock rims are +55 9.5"wideX17" 5-4.75". tires are 275X40ZR17
Wheel offset is the distance from the wheel mounting flange (where the wheel sits on the brake rotor) to the centerline of the wheel rim. POsitive offset in when the flange is to the outside of the rim centerline and negative offset is when the flange is to the inside of the rim centerline. All C4 and later wheels have positive offset.
Do you already have the tires? A 235/50-17 would be close in diameter to the stock tires. The Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22 is available in 255/40-17 and would mount on your stock wheels. Tire Rack calls it a Performance winter tire.
