Hypertech Programmer uninstall

I believe my dad has a hypertech programmer program in his vette. I got in it and it nevers goes over 190 for temp, firm shifts, and under full throttle it doesnt shift till like 7k it basically smacks the rev limiter everytime. The question is can I detune it by getting a used programmer off another forum member that is already used? Being that its empty can I dump my dads tune back onto it?

Nope, the Hypertech programmers can only be used on one car at a time, they store the VIN.

You will have to find the original programmer to return it back to stock. It has your dads original tune stored in it.

get with pcm for less they can retune your ecm no problem it will cost about 150.00 i think. but you will also get a perfomance tune
