As of a couple years ago, for cheaper/conventional disposeable oil filters (commonly found at local parts stores), WIX seems to be one of the better internally designed with higher quality filter media.
Fram and AC are basically cans with folded paper stuffed in them.
If I don't feel the need for a MOBIL 1 synthetic filter, I am installing a WIX.
