I'm about to re-do my exhaust and figure might as well get some headers. I'm only running 1987 L98 so just looking for something cheap but still better than the stock manifolds.
Anyone have any options? I posted to see what people had on this forum but no one answered. Looking for something in the $150 range.
I recommend saving a bit longer and getting some ceramic coated. Not only do they perform and last better, but there is less underhood heat to melt all those plastic parts... like the ones that connect your wiring.

You will regret any cheap header that is not coated. They rust and look terrible under the hood. They dont last very long. Stainless or coated headers are around $800. You can get Heddmans for a bit less. It killed me to pay TPIS $750 for mine a few years ago but I am glad I did. Stainless is my first choice but none were available at the time.
Hedman's, heat them up and get rid of the protective coating. Go get a couple cans of heat resistance paint w/ceramic in the paint. Did this and mine have not rusted and you will have to put a heat shield between the brake booster and the header.
