Does nitrous go bad??
I have a 15lb NX bottle thats about 1/2 to 3/4 full and it's been sitting in the garage for about 3-4 years. Is it still useable or not. I'm told one of the reasons for a purge system is purging out stail nitrous??

The nitrous is still good. Given that its in a pressurized state, it may leak out, but nothing else will leak in. It is a stable compound and won't change over time.
Purge is not to get rid of bad nitrous. Well, kind of. Its to make sure that you have full liquid nitrous at the solenoid so when you hit the button you are getting liquid nitrous instead of nitrous gas into the engine.
