Default Replace the Optispark?

Replacing the water pump on my 1993 with 60K miles. (I've owned it for 2 years) Mechanic says replace the Optispark while the water pump is off because it's probably the original Opti and it's cheaper to do it now.

What do you think??

If you do, make sure YOU supply the Opti, though, not the mechanic. I'll bet you can get it at least $100 cheaper than his quote.

Definitely replace the cap and rotor.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to inspect the timing cover seal for oil leaks, either.

I'd replace the plugs and wires, wire holders, and looms, too, since you'll never have better access to 'em than now.
