Heya guys,
Ive been dealing with alot of flex in my body and have heard alot of good word on how well harness bars work for this. Not as great as some things, but i kind of like the idea of being able to strap in with a better seatbelt when i decide to run my car like a bat outta hell... Something about a shoulder belt and 140+ mph just doesnt make a whole lotta sense to me. Granted at those speeds, a 5 point may not make that much of a difference, but it cant hurt can it? (i know that harness bars are no Sub. for a roll cage, but i like knowing i can return my car to near stock if i want to)
Anyway, to the point, i was wondering what your opinions are on harness bars, and if possible, some good pictures of what C4s look like with them installed. I have seen some Half a22 pictures that hardly let me get a feel of what it really looks like. Thanks alot everyone :)
I have an Exotic Muscle Harness bar, it does absolutely nothing to help teh flex in my car. My main reason for buying it was to have a place to mount my camera.

I noticed a reduce in flexing, squeeks and rattles, and that is even with the top off. The bar I got allows for stowage of the top, complete seat travel.

No pics, but I have the R-D Racing Crossbar, and I did notice a little reduce in flex. I have the tinted top though, so I'm assuming it would be better with the solid top.
I don't know if anyone else has addressed this issue,,but all those with harness bars and 5 point harnesses, have you thought about where your head is going to be with a rollover,,,,your body cannot move out of the way if you are properly strapped in when the roof starts to flatten,,,ssssssssssssooooooooooooooo,,I guess your head acts as the rollbar!!!!!! Thats why the stock harnesses are designed to allow the body to move!

If you're doing that kind of driving (like open road racing) you do need full roll cage. But autocross and occasional track days, I doubt you going to rach the speeds to generate the force to crumple the halo
yeah right as I'm flipping over I'm gonna have the time to get out and move ;P
Where you gonna move to might I ask?
I know duck low enough and the seat back will save ya ;P
I'm curious where to duck to in a rollover corvette accident, my general thought on the matter was it's over if ya flip these cars... head on shouldn't be bad, side might be livable, but flip should be death ;P
