I was wondering if anyone knows what a SPEC pressure plate (not flywheel) weighs for an LT1/4 ZF6 combo. They have lightweight option that saves 3lbs. I sent an e-mail to SPEC but haven't heard back.
I'm trying to find out if the SPEC piece is lighter than OEM and was hoping that with all the projects going on, someone may have one out of the car they could weigh.
I have a specs Pressure plate, and disc, out of an l98, it is for a black tag, so dont know how big of a difference in weight will be. I could have a weight by sunday pm, if you can wait.
I don't know what the weight of the pressure plate or clutch was. The only advertised SPEC weight that I remember was that of the flywheel. AND NEEDLESS to say, I didn't weigh mine before installation.

Will has it this weekend, I'm heading down to Atlanta to drop of my 91 and bring back my Honda for the Winter driving. It is WAY FUN, and you will LOVE the bump in performance with your setup!
The pressure plate with the throwout bearing installed weighed 14.5 lbs.
It appears to be a stock Valeo pressure plate.
Hmmmm. Interesting. I'll have to dig out my throwout bearing and add it to the weight of my pressure plate. Looks like we'll be within a pound or so of each other.
My current pressure plate only has 10k miles on it. I may just use it with a SPEC Stage 2+ clutch disc and the SPEC flywheel. Seems silly to pay a bunch of money for a new pressure plate if they're the same thing.

I remember hearing somewhere that all ZF6 pressure plate assemblies use the Valeo housing. It's entirely possible that the guts of the assembly are different.
