supposedly, LT1 shortys are a direct fit according to some members, and instead of the 7 fresh air injection tubes on the L98 type there are only 1 to a larger one mid header; per side,

additionally, for what i understand up to this point is the flange to the y pipe has a smaller bolt circle, nessesitating elongation on the y pipe flange holes.

a more sano install imo,

just have to configure and route check valves from the air pump manifold

i'm ( on another thread) want to figure out how the egr connects to these things? pics? comments? know how?

The catalog listing is for LT1. I bet you are on your own for L98 EGR for smog legal.

Close, but not quite. It looks like footnote 155 states this is a shorty header.

Someday...someday...

Hey Ron,

Is this still our best bet for an L-98 1 3/4" smog legal shorty header?

Hope you are doing well buddy!

Hi Pat,

Seems like it but havent kept up on whats out.
Keep in mind its Carb approved for the LT1 not the L98 so....
do a clean enough job may get past most.

Slick put them on his 89 came out pretty nice. Adapted the LT1 EGR setup maybe he will post a pic.
Havent been on TC much lately
