1/4 mile simulator model print-out
This chart below is with my old 383 and emulates my best timeslip fairly closely..... shows a 0-60 mph time of 3.23 seconds..... and that is very accurate. 0-100 mph is 8.02 seconds...... looks like if I simply skipped lunch, I could have had a 7.99

This programs best use is to create your model, based upon all information you know, then dial in the HP/TQ curve to what you actually ran on the track...... once you have a good baseline, you can then make changes, like more gear, more converter, better air, lower elevation, different transmission, etc.... to see if the simulator predicts the change helps you..... or hurts you. (I've had both happen to me) You can even add torque multipliers to see what more power would do for you....... its kind of interesting to play with if you have nothing to do on a Monday night but watch football.
I've used this program for many years, and I actually believe it in it...... I wouldn't spend a fortune based upon something it spit out, but I think its a lot closer than you might think as well.
Thought I would share..... I could probably create models of a couple of members set-ups tonight if anybody is interested in knowing this type of information.
Bummer on yours not working on the new PC.... maybe find somebody with an older PC and save the floppy to disk.
-Total Raceweight
-Rear Gear
-Transmission Gears
-Shift points
-Elevation of your local track
-Shallow or deep staging
-Your estimated HP and at what rpm
-Your estimated TQ and at what rpm
-Tire height
-Slick or street radial
-If auto trans, where does your converter flash too
I'll fill in anything else.
Find me about .2sec on my setup.

I used to play with those programs, but I get off on tangents and start putting in tire sizes of 60", gears of 7.50 and stuff just to see what it does. Try it sometimes...starts to make you think ......

I have to say though if you input accurate data they are pretty close.
....... and yeah, I miss racing Carlsbad.... I had a lot of friends there. Unfortunately, that track is closed and now an industrial complex. LACR back there is closed too. Depending on what events were going on, I'd race LACR Saturday and Carlsbad Sunday..... and now, ironically, both are gone. Yeah, I still talk to Dennis, as you may know he got into the Power Boat thing..... but, he was telling me last week, he's thinking about getting back into the hobby...... He likes those Blue Z06's.... I don't blame him, I like em too.
The converter specs in the program are based upon the actual stall and typical known torque multiplication and slippage.... but you do have to tweek them a bit to match your actual timeslip for your baseline. Its not an exact science.

lol.... I've done the same. My favorite is add a shot of Nitrous by using a torque multiplier on the torque curve......I start off with a 15-20% boost to represent a small shot...... but it ineveitably ends up with me adding a 600 HP fogger shot
...... funny thing, the sim is smart enough to limit the gains on that stuff based upon your set-up, tires, etc..... it'll actually slow down your 60's cuz it knows you're going up in smoke the second you hit the throttle..... fun stuff....
Thanks for taking the time and running my set-up on your software. Hopefully next season I can try and get close to those numbers..... (not to mention the 60's) Mick
