Default 93 sport seats

I am trying to figure out what the 3 round buttons do?. I read the owners manual and it says it changes the contour of the seat. Am i supposed to here something happening when when i push one of those buttons or do you push and then manually move a part of the seat.
THANKS FOR THE HELP

They adjust the lumbar support and I am positive is not working in yours. From what I heard, the lumbar support system had a life of about 3-4 yrs. There is a fix in the C4 tech tips section.

The 3 buttons release air from the 3 air bladders in the back of the seat . The switch right above them pumps air into all 3 at once and then you release the air with the 3 buttons to adjust the lumbar area of your seat to your liking . The problem that you probably have is that the compressor plunger has failed and now you are not getting any air out of it . Sometimes this happens because one or more of the connections for the air hoses have broken causing the bladders to never get filled no matter how long you run the compressor . The parts to fix the system are all reproduced by Davies Corvettes . I would take the seat bottom out for a visual inspection of the hoses and junction blocks but be careful not to lift the seat bottom up too far or you will break off the nipples of the junction blocks yourself . If you can hear the compressor running , thats a good sign . You will still need to take the end off to visually inspect the plunger . The last thing that can go wrong is the air bladders themselves can get dry rotted and disintegrate . PM me if you have any questions , I know this system very well , Rich Hall .
