Anyone knows who is a real dealer of Kent Moore tool? I've found some that have 1 of this 1 of this but im looking for someone with a good inventory....thanx....G
thanx....i'll keep looking, you would think someone could be making some serious $$ selling these tools. Got to be a reason they are hard to locate....G
If you're patient, these tools surface on E-bay. Especially with all the GM dealers going out of business. Having the numbers makes it easier because most sellers don't actually know what they have. I've seen Corvette tools sell for cheap there.

p.s. im looking for J21854..J39246.... and J22635
Is your column "out of the car" yet?
J-21854 is the pivot pin remover that you can work around. I don't recall the inside thread diameter & pitch of the pin but I'll try to find a pin and post it. You could if you wanted use a socket, a threaded stud, washer and nut! That will duplicate the tool.
J-22635 is a "pin-punch" on a screwdriver type handle. A long "pin-punch" from Sears will do very well. I want to say 3/16 pin so maybe 11/64 which I believe is a popular size.
J-39246 is something I've never had my hands on but if it's meant to ease the install of the "tilt-pin" spring I don't believe you'll need it.
What FSM did you find these in? I've got '90 and a couple other GM's and I didn't see reference to the J-39246.
its the 1996 fsm where they specify those tools. Im not taking the column out and its still in. basically doing a retight on the 4 bolts in the column with locite red to tighten the column up. Down to the pivot pins and I know you can use other setups for these tools and I have but sometimes you need to use these specific tools to make the job go a little easier. Ive seen and heard stories of those who have broken the pin which creates a whole new set of problems . Also for those reading this it seems all of the column parts are hard to come by so if you see sometings you might need you might want to grab it. Several Corvette part store, Ecklers , Central corvette, Zip and other are showing DISCONTINUED for a lot of the parts. Ive found no one selling the pivot pins themself. For those also looking for the pivot pin tool Leslie makes one, part # 19940 ,,,$6.95 . A lot cheaper than the Kent Moore. I try to pick up the Kent Moore tools when I can and add them to the large collection of ""SPECIAL"" gm tools as you never know when you will need them again....G
Believe it or not the Snap-On is a dollar cheaper than the OTC. I've found with the Kent Moore stuff, sometimes OTC offers an identical or similar part for a little less. I think OTC and Kent Moore may be related.
I've used the Snap-On pivot pin puller with great success before.
