They work pretty good. It allows easier freedom of engine movement when going in or coming out of tight engine compartment spaces. I have one for sale I used about 3 times if interested.Asking 40 dollars shipped to you.

I used a load leveler when I dropped the BB in. I mocked it up so it when in and out several times and I work alone in my garage. I was able to make very fine angle adjustments with ease.

I have the same setup, used it several times without any issues.
HF had a sale that came with the leveler. Has folding legs as well.

Personally,I don't.
I would recommend buying some good grade 5 or better metric bolts from a fastener store with a little bigger head and use thick flat washers to fit each.You don't want to risk having a bolt or washer pulling thru the slot in the lift plate.
