Difference between cut air lid and cold air intake
What is the difference between cutting your air lid and buying a cold air intake, power wise? I dont really know how your supposed to cut your air lid neither, does anybody got any pics or directions on how exactly you are supposed to cut it?
Yes, if you are comfortable...cut your lid. I cut and painted mine all in about 20 minutes. It's super easy and I fail to see how some others try to claim your filter will be dirtier?

Purchased my 1996, about five years ago. It was stock, so I got a cut lid and a K & N...didn't seem any difference. A while later, I purchased a SLP cold air induction (the claw)(three cone filters)...still didn't seem any difference.

Maybe not.... but it sure looks like a million bucks, huh???
