Have question concerning which cam to get..

I'm in the market to buy a cam,and I know the hot cam kit is a great deal,but is anyone running either the cc305 or the cc306?I know the cost would be somewhat more,but would it be worth it as far as HP would be concerned?Does anyone know how much more HP the 305 or 306 would make verses the hotcam?By the way,Im gonna be doing heads at some point down the road too.

What kind of requirements do you have as far as drivability, mileage, and emissions? Those two cams are pretty different in terms of all of the above.

SNKSKNR has the 306.. i don't consider that a street cam at all...

No emission requirements,seeing as how in oklahoma you dont have inspections anymore.Of course I want it to be streetable,but I dont drive it all that much,maybe7k a year or so.

Well.. the 306 is kinda streetable, but not streetable enough for me. SNKSKNR's LT4 has the 306 as well as LPE headers and a couple other things (no powe adders), and that thing it beyond streetable in my opinion. He uses it only for racing, which is the only thing I'd do with it as well.

I have the 306 and drive it every day - and love it. But it's just a matter of personal preferences (and tuning!). Your best bet is to find someone near you with both camshafts and see what would work well for you.

Well,I just ordered the hot cam kit.I guess for the bang for the buck,and the fact that I have never heard anything bad about it,and seems to be made with the LT-1,4 in mind,I decided to go with it.Now all I need to do is find a good deal on some heads or headwork,and I,ll be in buisness,Thanks for all your replies guys,its much appreciated.
