If the center tube doesn't need replaced, Bilstein will rebuild them for about $50/ea. If the tube (the valve area) is bad, then it runs around $100/ea for the rebuild. Look for about a 2-3 week turn-around.

If you are looking to replace your, I believe Mid America is listing them for around $200 each. I would definately go for the rebuild, as long as you can go without the car.
if you cannot go without the car, and want to rebuild, I would order up a cheap set of KYB's and send the bilsteins out for rebuild... then keep the KYBs in storage for the next time you need to rebuild.
Where would you buy the KBY's and would they know the part # for a 92 LT-1? I am thinking of buying just one as my other one on the right front was rebuilt and now I have code 33.
I took my Bilsteins off for rework and replaced with some el-cheapo shocks just to maintain until the reworked ones came in. They are very easy to replace and it takes only an hour or so for all, given the right tools. Bilstein in San Diego is the place. Good luck.
