dimmer switch Rod Actuator - 1897

Here's my problem...after replacing the Ignition Lock Cylinder in my 1987, the high-beems won't work. I'm told the following part is now "missing" --- dimmer switch Rod Actuator.

I'm having trouble finding the "Rod Actuator" to purchase. The only option so far is to purchase the total steering column...obviously not my desired option.

Here's the best image I could find to indicate what I'm talking about. Item #14 is the Rod Actuator.

I appreciate any suggestions or comments?

Didn't know they had them in 1897

from www.vette2vette.com Do you need just the plastic pieces in the column, or the long metal rod that goes down the column to the switch above the brake pedal?
