Default DigiDash outright Purchase (no core)

What is the going rate to purchase a functional (tach & speedo working at bare minimum) 1987 Digi-Dash? What do they go for from salvage yards? Who sells them (with no core)? I'm looking to get a spare so that I can use it while I send my original one to someone to get a few things fixed on it (light sensor, for example). I found one guy with one from an '87 for $275. Is this reasonable or a ripoff? Thanks, ~Juliet

Give Contemporary Corvette in Bristol, PA a ring. They have a pretty big Vette boneyard and seem to be reasonable.

Eegads - Contemp. Corv wants $800 to purchase one outright! $200 with a core. I think I might just ****** this other one up for $275 quick! :D ~Juliet

A lot. And juliet I know how you are..... ;)....... make sure it is an 87 or 88 unit WITH cruise control. 87 and 88 are the only two years that the dash was the same.

Nope no indicators, nothing broken. :) The cruise control logic circuits are part of the dash. I don't know why there are cruise and non-cruise dashes since pretty much all of the C4s have cruise, but as I understand they are out there.

So you would just want to make sure the dash came out of a 87/88 cruise equipped car. :)

Say you don't know for sure which car a particular dash came from? How would one tell if the paper stickers on the top of the unit are gone?
