Default Low Profile Floor Jack?

Anyone know a source for a very low profile floor jack (other than the $600 racing aluminum units)? I need one that goes to 3" when lowered to get it under my car. I already took the wheels off of one of my jacks which helps, but I still have to "lift up" on the frame to slide it under.

Thanks - Greg

Drive it up on a couple of 2x8's then place your jack. Should give you plenty of space.

I use a Craftsman 3 ton floor jack with the lifting puck removed to get under the lowest cars I have had. I can measure the exact height if you need it.

Camvette - Problem is it doesn't exactly run yet, and it's a real bitch to push it up on a pair of 2 x 10's

Vette92 - I have the wheels off of my Craftsman jack, but couldn't figure out how to remove the lifting puck. How did you do it on yours?

Thanks - Greg

Mine just lifts right off and leaves a nice 4"x4" flat surface. I would say there may be a pin, but if you have removed the wheels you probably looked pretty good at it. Hmmm.

Guy's,
About a year ago we had a group purchase here for and ultr low profile jack. I purchased one and it has been great. My car is lowered as low as it can go and I can get it under any where. I will find the company's name and number and post it here for you. It was about $450 at the time with freight.

Greg

I have the OTC floor jack which is one of the lowest I have found which is 3.75" I purchased this from my Snap-On dealer for $255.00. Here is a site that has the spec if that can help you.
