Nice find... Interesting Intake; I know i've never seen one before. It does look too tall probably ... I think we only have 8 to 8 1/2" from the "China Wall"; and I wonder how long/big the Runners are on it ...
As for the Fiero, you can get those things really light; think Cobra light around 22-2400lbs: they could be scarey fast. I remember seeing some with IMSA panels and 12" wide wheels/tires that looked pretty nice too. I noticed they were "granny shifting" both of them in the vids; weaker Transaxles I'm guessing.

All the videos show the nose coming way up too. There's got to be some work done on the suspension to keep it on all fours!
