'85 Cold Idle Problem
Hoping for some help. My friend has an '85 with some cold idle issues. He says it starts with no problem, but doesn't like to idle until warmed up. Any help or suggestions for him. Thanks!!

There are quite a few different reasons for this but I will cover what just worked for me on my '85. Have him go get a can of mass airflow sensor cleaner. It's available at any parts house but be sure it's for the mass airflow sensor. Spray the sensor real good to clean the wires inside it. Let it dry then put it back together and start the car, if the problem is gone then his burnoff module is shot. If not then it will be time to dig a bit deeper. Have him try this then get back to us.
