Default Crossbar install problem

I broke the stud on the driver side top support. :cry Anyone know how to replace this stud?:confused: Need help. :mad :cuss :bs :boxing

Are you talking about that little stud that was under the plastic trim peice that holds the top in place?? Man......I could barely see it! how'd ya snap it? Just curious......so I wont do it! Murphys Law kinda thing for me!! :lol: :lol:

Yeah, I snapped that little stud in the front of the targa top support bracket. You askesd how I broke it; Too much torque! :rolleyes: :( Oh well. I hope someone knows how to get at this thing. If not, I will start exploring. Do not over tighten the nut on this stud. Just get it really snug and go on to the next step. Still really upset. :mad Stress and anger level went through the roof when it happened.:cuss Live and learn! :yesnod: :cheers:

I saw on QVC (sold out) a stud remover set, made by Craftsman. It had four different size extractors. The cost was $39.00. It attached to a drill. It looked like it worked really well while they were demo-ing the product. They said that it was sold on QVC and at Sears.
