Good price for what you get. Keep in mind it's a 2 bolt block, cast crank, etc. If you intend to beat on it a lot I'd think twice about getting it. If you just want to have some occasional street fun, it looks like a great deal.

I had a 383 LT1 short block built by them in july, very high quality build, I got the CPE RACER 383 Block version with the 4 bolt mains. It's been trouble free, this cars is mostly a track car, Road racing and autocross and is rock solid and very strong.

But you see had you just done that (gave support) there would not be any further comment or perception that your head was being bit off...you instigated it by calling another forum member "uneducated" and then implied because they shared their opinion that "every forum has got one and that they were it". I just found it interesting that you joined the forum to give support where needed...but the minute somebody had a different opinion you bit their head off with a personal attack on their education....you do see the path right?

I hear yeah, I guess I am just tried of people bad mouthing eagle parts without any true experience with their stuff, if done right, it's reliable, an affordable alternative to other brands, and better then factory parts.

Anyway sorry about my poor intro, :o

No big deal...back on topic I like the info I have an L98 car too and have looked for shops that sell shortblocks. Do you know if Cook offers L98 performance shortblocks (4 bolt mains)?
Thanks

I apologize I was not trying to badmouth anyone's parts. I simply didnt think that this particular engine would be the best replacement for OP as he already has a 4 bolt in his car. Sorry we got off on bad terms, welcome to the forum
