New headlight problem. It's not the bushing.
I have a 94 and the passenger side headlight gets stuck halfway when it opens. If I open the hood the head light opens and close find. Now, if i close the hood, the head closes halfway or if I turn the headlight on it opens halfway. It only does this with the hood close. One thing that I notice is that when the motor is turning, the **** on top goes up and down. The driver side, doesn't do this. It just stays in the same place and moves really smooth. could it be a problem with the motor, I did replace the bushing inside thinking it was that. Got the kit from ecklerts. By the way, you don't have to open the hood all the way. By just lifting it few inches, the headlight opens all the way. Any idea what is causing this.

Have you checked for any rubbing/binding of the headlight housing. My 89 did this same thing, it was rubbing very slightly on the coolant resv. hose. Odd thing about it was this hose hasn't been removed or disturbed for 2 years! I just pressed the hose bracket down a little and it's fine now. Don't know if your later model has this or not, but check for any loose wire harness bundles or anything that might interfere with the housing wnen it rotates.

Problem fixed. Well, as you can see in the picture, there was a black washer missing right were I have the tip of the screwdriver. So, the headlight would move side to side and was getting stuck on the hood itself. Pushed the headlight back to the middle, made a home made washer and now it opens like new. Thanks.
