For a winter project on my 89, with 76,000 miles, I want to work in the suspension. I am considereing replacing the upper and lower ball joints, tie rods, bushings, front and rear wheel bearings, and all of the U-joints. I saw in several catalogs (Ecklers and Mid-America) that there are front end kits, bushing kits, etc. I also noticed that if I buy a front end kit, then a bushing kit, There will be doubles for certain parts. Can anyone recommend the cheapest way to go, buying good quality, and what kit(s) to recommmend.
Or does anyone offer any other suggestions? Thanks.
Just shop around, but realize that shipping will get expensive if you try to save too much going all over the place for one little part at a time. I myself am putoff by most of the parts in MAD and Ecklers. Just order TRW parts from your local parts store if they are cheaper.
