Default help knowing what Msd optispark dist. I need?

Hi I don't know if I ordered the right Msd lt1 distributor. I ordered the Msd # 8381 distributor for my 93 corvette lt1. This is the early version. I haven't got mine apart yet to tell, I thought I needed to order the one with a pin on the cam rather than splines. Anyone know for sure if I ordered the right one? Thanks Tim

Yes it will fit. Make sure you do some searches on MSD and Opti install to get up to speed.

You ordered the right one. 8381 fits all '92-'94 models unless the car has been modified.

'95 and '96 LT1's has the cam w/ pin and their timing cover is deeper than your '92-'94's.

Be sure the screws holding the rotor on are tight and be sure to get the cover seal on straight and screws tight.
