Well, this is a distant responce as I don't have the shocks on the Corvette...but I did have them on my Tahoe. I thought they were a very good shock, and did exactly as advertised. No noise, that silly.
They act differently than you may expect. A quick high speed bump will go by like nothing as the valve opens, however a slow speed bump will show the full resistance of the shock and will feel harder than a normal shock. This is how it keeps you supported in hard cornering yet will mellow out if you hit a rough spot hard and fast. They are very stiff at low speed or "long" bumps.
If I didn't have FX3 I would probably put these on the Corvette to try, not sure if they are the right formula for a Corvette - but they do work as they say they do.
I know some folks here have them, so I hope you hear from those that have used them.

TTT
An Example:
You find yourself on a washboard road. You slow down to avoid loosing your fillings, you get beat up pretty good at 5 MPH, and your coffee in the cup holder is now being sloshed against both doors.
Then, being a glutton for punishment, you perform a loop to come back to the beginning of the washboard road.
This time you hit the washboard surface at 60 MPH instead of 5 MPH. You know you are on the washboard, but your coffee in the cup holder is hardly moving.

Sounds like there's no shock control at high shaft speeds. So basically, your springs are just flopping around doing their own thing in the scenario you described. Keep 'em on the Tahoe, use a high peformance shock on a high performance car. IMO, either Bilstein's with the proper valving, or the new Koni monotube shock.
