Default ANOTHER FX3 QUESTION

if i had to remove the electrical connection on one shock for an installation of a blower, can i lock that shock in one of the three positions i desire or will it revert to the soft setting? will all the other shocks remain in that desired position also?

any help appreciated

The actuator adjusts the shock damping by rotating the rod protruding from the top. If you have nothing holding it still, it may move around with normal driving, not sure. It has teeth on it so you could probably safety wire it in place; do the same for all corners. FWIW, I turned mine full stiff and drove with the left front actuator off for a year; before I got around to buying non-FX3 Bilsteins.

The shock that you remove the actuator from will stay in whatever position you set it. As for the other 3, you may get a code from the SRC for the one where the actuator is removed, and they will revert to the softest position possible.
You would be better off removing all actuators and setting the shocks manually so that they are all the same, you don't want one with a particular setting and the others different.
