AIR Injection piping
On the hose that comes from the Secondary AIR Injection pump, there is a "T" that has a small (3rd) nipple called a "Vacuum Bleed Valve" (Late Production Only) according to the FSM, Book 2, pp 6E3-C6-2, item 6 on hose item 5B . It shows the "T" with the small check valve before the hose tees into the hoses that go to each of the large check valves going to the exhaust manifolds.
Mine is like the (Early Production) hose, 5A, shown above but has the "T" with the small check valve located just behind the left head by the firewall between the two hoses that go between the two large check valves shown in the FSM, Book 1, pp 6A1B-4 & 5, item #232 called "Connector, Secondary AIR Injection Check Valve Hose."
Mine has to be 'early production' since it is #338 off the assembly line.
It shouldn't matter which place the small check valve is located since it would have the same effect in the piping.
Question is, should it have a hose connected to the check valve fitting since it is called a "Hose" in Book 1, and if so, where does the hose terminate? Mine does not have a hose on it and you can see a fine (don't know if it is wire or not) screen in the end of the small fitting.
Phewwwww....that is hard to explain!
