I run mine at the drag strip, and it is always about .01 fast. I would say that that is pretty close. And that is over a 3 year period.Originally Posted by JOHN89
Instead of throwing it away why not test it at a drag strip? I made three passes with my G-Tech when I purchased it and it was only off by .01 sec. Yes thats 1/100 of a sec! Now obviously the road has to be flat and the device has to be level. My unit is the old style led face. Not the new style LCD screen that is downloadable to a computer.

yes I understand that compares to a 100hp diff. also it shows the effect of a heat soaked lt1 at 100 deg. in the tx sun. This was also while I was running the aero and before the x pipe which in good temp. was still running a 14.1 so it really is only .4 slower so that could be expected. From there I added the x pipe and instead of running from 70-100 deg. I ran it at 40 deg. and ran a 13.6 and 13.7 then put the stocks on and it ran 13.3 and 13.02 just to kind of try to put all of this into a timeline.

The 60' time has a lot to do with determining what kind of ET you end up with. If that device calculates you running 13.3 and 13.02 maybe its reading perimeters that would indicate your LT1 is running very strong givin the cooler air. At the track, sometimes cooler air means less traction off the line which kills the ET. I notice when I go down the track and I had bad wheel spin off the line my trap speed is usaully higher and my ET is lower. When I get out of the hole with little spin I see better ET and lower trap speeds.Originally Posted by crazy4c4
