I found some cheap ceramic headers from hedman but they say I need to alter ther altinator location. Or do all long tubes need the alt to move?

My 383 is choking so this is my next mod

summit told me that it will wreck you alt bracket, or you have you fab something up, Also It might touch the steering a bit. some one else can help I am sure with all the experience.

damn
i need Long tubes without the smog tubing for my L98 that doesnt wreck the alt but doesnt cost $500

You have to fab up a brace for the rear of the Alternator, similar to what it has stock. You do not have to move the Alternator. They do not effect the steering in any way. There should be some info in the Search section.

I got TPIS long tubes and run stock alternator and steering. My only gripe is the need to dimple #7 tube for the straight plug heads.

Never go uncoated! Never.

def getting ceramic or stainless

I have dart eagle heads with angle plugs so no worries

any links to the fabbed alt bracket?
i didnt find very much help with search
