I'm back, Thanks to everyone that is helping me out. Refresh: 1988 anna, runs sometimes & don't run sometimes. Throws a 46 code, All of the injectors show 16 ohms, cold start valve shows 4 ohms. 12 volts at the injectors also. Disconnected the MAF still won't start. Spray starting fluid in the TB & its runs for a few seconds. New plugs & fuel pump also. Sounds like the injectors are shutting down. I'm banging my head against the wall. What's next?

even though you have good injector coils, that doesn't mean that mechanically they are working. They could be clogged, by you saying the car starts on fluid makes me lean that way, that means you have spark. no fuel. You have a new pump and filter. Did you do a rail pressure check to make sure there is fuel in the rail. If you don't have a gauge push the test valve on the rail right after you turn the key on and off. Be careful with fuel. Just push it quick to see if you have pressure. If you do try unhooking the coil wire and crank the engine over for about 15 seconds. You should smell raw fuel through the throttle body. If you don't smell any fuel then I really think you need injectors. There is no other on the car test to see if the injectors are squirting unless you have a scope with a camera and light to look.
Thanks for answering, new pump & filter, 38 psi in line, don't smell any fuel after cranking. What would they cost for this car, w/gaskets? All stock. I never done this before.
do a fuel injector balance test.you may have to bring this to someone that has these tools.you pulse the injector manually with a fuel pressure guage and see what kind of drop in pressure you have.that would tell you if you have pluged injectors or they are leaking down.hope this helps

the only problem with that is the injectors in a l98 cannot be removed without taking the plenum off. code 46 is what on a 88.
This problem runs intermittently, start it up it would run great go somewhere, shut it off it might start. Sometimes you have to wait 5,10,30 mins. whatever it takes then it will start. Sometimes it will start right up. could this be the vats module? Always throws a 46 code when it won't start.
