Default 700r4 4th gear switch

I've just completed the 700r4 conversion on my C3.
Anyone who knows the correct opening pressure for the 4th gear switch?
Mine opened at 30psi when I bench tested it, but it wont open in 4th gear.

If I remember correctly, the switch closes in fourth gear, to ground the contact.

Which brings another point, if you have the switch that opens under pressure, you have the 3-4 cutout switch, not the 4th sensing switch. In this case it will be open the entire time your in fourth, which is what you do not want.

You should find a two terminal switch that closes under 30 PSI pressure, not one that opens.

Thanks BBA.
According to what I've found, pre 1993 computer installations use a single terminal NC switch that opens in 4th gear.
It's shown f.ex at http://www.sallee-chevrolet.com/Chev...tallation.html

Yes, I had the 4-3 switch (two terminals), but that I've shorted out. This switch is installed next to the 4th gear switch.
