Ok, I'm new here. But, I have been into Camaros for a while now... I bought a 94 Z28, 6 speed. I bought the car mostly for the motor, it's a LT1, that's pushing 350RWHP..... The body on the car is mostly rusted out. I recently found a 84 C4, It's a auto car, how hard/is it possible to run the LT/T56 combo I have in the C4? Will the clutch pedal out on the Camaro work? Is this possible or am I dreaming?
Of course it will work with modifications. What they are and how complex is the question. It will just take time, tools and knowledge. Are you going to have a pro do the swap?
First off thanks for the welcome! Looks as though we feel the same about those wanna be cars....
I will be doing everything myself. I know it CAN work, I just want to know if anyone here has done it. How hard it was to do, what you had to change, ect. The Camaro should have everything I need in the way of computer, minus the dash. I'll have to either find a way to swap in a new dash, or maybe leave the factory computer just for the dash ut use the camaro computer for the engine? I should just drop a tranny in the vette and drive it. The L98 runs. But, it would be slower :P So do you think it would be so hard that I shouldn't do it? Or would it be worth it? Also, my dad knows vettes. He used to auto cross. Had a vette that was NOT anywhere near stock. So he can give me a hand during the swap.
