Bought a used 94 coupe. It was missing the remote sender for the PKE. Bought new clicker from dealer. Press button for rear hatch, opens it fine, press button to lock or unlock doors, Pass door locks, drivers door makes a clicking sound inside door, underneath the outside door handle. The interior P/L switch works both doors fine. Any suggestions Please. Dealer only fix? Bought it for my wife for xmas. Really suprised her. We love it. More question to come, thanks Tim.

Did the dealer program your PKE for you?
If it was programmed it is enabled by holding down the door button for more than 3 secs.
You shud here the locks cycle.
Put your key in the ignition, if the system is enabled you will see Passive keyless entry illuminated in the lower left portin of the DIC.
To select which door you want to unlock, put key in ignition, donot start, hold down door button to cycle locks for opening. It will take alittle practice.

Eventually you're going to get tired of listening to the horn as the car locks and unlocks fifty times while you're fuelling up, and you'll disable that hunk of crap. Mine works just fine but I wouldn't enable it if you put a gun to my head...

Ever think of leaving the key in the ignition so that doesn't happen? With credit card pay...you don't leave your car...and the key in the ignition disables the auto-lock.

True, or you can lay the keys on the car, I tried all the gymnastics, had my girlfriend accidently touch off the alarm from inside after it re-armed, got reamed for it, but I still don't like anything that trains me to walk away without locking the car. Don't even get me started on rentals that decide when the headlights should be on for me.

A new PKE or key fob needs to be programmed to the car to let the system learn the frequency of the key FOB. The directions for this are in the manual, I've seen them in a different thread, you might want to do a search on the forum for PKE.
