Hey Jeff, realizing that someone already sparked a conversation about these wackey rims makes me feel like the guy who just THOUGHT he invented the wheel only to find out someone else had already done it.
I test drove a used "94" once at a Chevy dealership, had all four sawblades reversed, I should have checked to see if the tires were mounted correctly or incorrectly for the reversed sawblades. The salesman and sales manager acted like I was a d_ck for pointing out the wheels were backwards.
I had a new set of BFG's installed by a discount tire retailer. Before the installer started I pointed out which way the sawblades were mounted. When I returned to pick up the car all the tire and wheeles were mounted backwards. Each tire had to be dismounted/remounted and reinstalled on the opposit side of the car.......
And we let these sh-t heads loose around our babies with air impact tools?
No more!
I had the same experience. BFG tires....bought them at a discount store. They put the rear wheels on the wrong side. Here's the worst part. I didn't notice it for several weeks. Went back, had them switched. BFG tires aren't unidirectional, so it wasn't a problem. But for a guy who has owned Corvettes for 25 years and thinks he knows a few things about them, it was embarrassing.
I just don't like it when these dippoopies put on my tires with impacts set to 4000000000ftlbs! :mad :mad :mad I want to give them a lug wrench and them pour water on them in the dark as I force them to try and change a tire with other cars wizzing by at 80mph to simulate what I will have to do should I have any problems on the roads. Bastages!! :seeya

When I changed my brake pads a while back I didn't think I was going to get the wheel off :cuss
Five stripped lugs and a broken T-wrench my 88's rims came off. It took an 8' foot long, 3" round iron pipe used as a cheater bar to bust the lugs loose. :mad
Some times air tools are great, other times shoot the guy using them. :boxing
