MSD Digital-6 or ACCEL Digital Ignition???
Which is the better of the two? The MSD Digital 6, or the Accel? I've heard both, so hopefully this will clear things up. This is going in my future 383 LT4. Thanks! :chevy

I say digital 6. I run one in my other car and I love it. Its great for high compression engines and nitrous applications. I have had one msd product go bad over the years and they had it fixed within three weeks of me shipping it in. Good service and a quality product.

The ACCEL 300+ did not last long before it went out. The MSD 6AL has lasted two years with no problems. Also you can upgrade with the two step box with the MSD.

I would recommend the MSD digital 6. I have had problems with both Accel and Crane ignitions. I know lots of guys with the MSD and have heard nothign from that crowd.

I have the Digital 6+ and it was an easy install for a dummy like me and seems to work just fine. Don't order the optional rubber mounts cuz it comes with them.

MSD makes very good products. I bought an MSD 5 in 1980 and used it for 5 years on my college car. Gave it to a friend for his VW thing and it was still running in 1994. I think its probably still going.
Now the next question. Are you running NOS, much higher compression than stock or Supercharger ? If not you don't need an aftermarket ignition.

I have a question along with this. I recently bought a Digital 6 but havent put it in yet. Does anyone have a good place to put it? Right Now I can only find a place on the back wall next to my amp, but I would rather not have to splice on any extra wire unless I have too. Oh yeah I have a 93 coupe. :confused:

I thought about that the only way without having to drill into the fiberglass is to remove the overflow jug. Does anyone have any other ideas? :confused:

on my '84 there is room right behind the battery. had to remove the gil panel as if i was replacing the battery to get the MSD 6a in there but its a good location that doesn't require any additional wire!
