Excuse me if this has already been asked before...

Are there any huge issues with cutting the top runners down a bit and welding the plenum to runners as a single piece?

The HSR is basically, .980" too tall, but if you machine the top of the intake runners down, you will machine part of hte fuel rail mount away.
