Default digital speedometer not working

Just got done cleaning the SRS to get the rest light to go out but now that I got everything together, cleaned all ground contacts and the block my digit speedometer is not working. It worked fine prior to the repair.

1990 Corvette.

Ground your ALDL, A to G, to check for CCM faults.

I know the feeling. It's been Ice Age II here and I haven't been able to do much on my '90 to get her ready to sell.
Once you pull the codes, let me know and I'll look them up in my FSM.

my 90's air bag light is on too. What did you do exactly to cure the problem?

Default digital speedometer not working

Thank you so much for all the replies, the speedometer reset and started working after turning the ignition on and off about 10 times, old trick I use to use on my wife caravan. It had first generation OBD 1.

The SRS light problem I got the instructions from http://www.zr1netregistry.com/Old_Proj/old_proj7.htm, it was overkill but to tell you the truth it was well worth it. Then to reset the code I got the instructions from https://www.corvetteforum.com/techti...D=46&TopicID=2.

If you need anything else let me know.

I looked and don't see any impact sensors on the front of my car. can you post a picture of where they are?

I will take photos this weekend for you to show you where the sensor is located as I am replacing the valve cover gaskets this week so I will be under the hood. Plan at least 3 hours to do it because the disassembly of the battery panel, removing of the battery tray, using penetrating oil on the bolts and nuts so you don't break one (if you have a 1/4inch socket set use it that way you can't over force the removal of the nuts and bolts especially when you are removing the battery tray, cleaning the contact surfaces, painting where you ground an area larger than the actual surface area, buy shrink tube because if you follow the article you will undo the terminal with all of your hot wire connection you will find from years of rough road the terminals have rubbed through but when you are done, you will find everything electric works so much better. There is lots of help on-line but if you go to the article I have sent you on resetting the computer it is the easiest and it works.
