If you have a slotted TPS just set the base idle to 450 RPM and then adjust the TPS to get about 0.74Vdc. Open the throttel and adjust to >4.5Vdc at WOT. Repeat these till both conditions are met.
If your TPS isn't slotted, I believe the ECM reads the lowest TPS value and sets min throttle so any offset would be ineffective.
I also have some swamp land to sell you if you think it is a worth while mod.
That's why I asked...
Thanks for the opinions guys, eliminates another "air foil" purhcase. So the MAT is a GOOD mod to do, or just is OK? I'm not actually buying either of these things yet, just wondering what everyone had experienced with them. The MAT sounds like a logical benifit to me, but not something that's gonna gain power.
You can do the MAT relocation without buying the kit. Just cut the MAT plug wires and solder in two extensions. Buy a rubber grommet big enough to put the MAT sensor in. Drill a hole for the gromet in the plastic air intake duct, put in the gromet, insert the sensor and plug it in. You also need to plug up the original hole that the mat sensor came out of, I don't remember the exact size plug I used.
