Default A/C control-fan motor-up-down WTF

At the begining of my project few of you recommended to me to change the A/C control vacumm lines plugs to fix the air from blowing from the bottom only while the A/C was at on at the regular setting (pictures below).

Yesterday, the air still blows from the bottom only. The defroster works properly.

Please give me direction here

Is it the dash board A/C control?

Is it the vacumm line under/next to the heater core?

Genneraly, If your fan if only blowing through the defroster and heater vents ( This is the default position ) It's "usually" one of two problems.

First, Check the three way vacuum check valve in the engine compartment. It's on the passenger side. Let me know if you need help finding it. This vacuum check goes to the Cruise control and also to the vacuum controller under the dash. For the most part, I can say that if your cruise control dosen't work, It's probably the check valve.

If your cruise control does work, It's most likely the vacuum controller connector. the vacuum controller is located under the dash ont he drivers side just above the gas pedal. The littlenipples on the connector close off after some time and you will need to replace the connector, not the box. I have already replaced mine and it now works great. post back and let me know what you find. I can guige you the relavent posts to fix the problem. good luck

I helped a friend out with just this problem not too long ago abd yes, it was the actual vacuum controller that was bad. I replaced it and all was well!

Not the connectors....the vacuum control box itself that has the vacuum 'octopus' plugged into it.

Good, I did not throw it away. I'll use the one I bought to use the "octopus" I think is the same unit.

I tried that and found a hole in the vacuum line. The AC is now blowing air normally. I bought the AC cans at the local auto parts and it is nice and cold
