Guys,
I thought I read somewere were the 89 TPI and earlier fuel injestion system fire all injectors at the same time. Is this true? Then it wouldn't matter if the wires were switched from one injector to another? NOT that I would do that, but just trying to get things straight in my head. Thanks and sorry about the stupid question. I have a lot of little facts in my head and sometimes I start doubting myself. Just need to check my systems.
Thanks
All 8 injectors operate together they have a left and right power feed and left and righ leads going to the ECM on your 85 to 91 then in 92 and 93 with the use of two O2 sensor the left and right operated independent of each other kind of like two 4 cylinders put together, then starting in 94 they went to sequential fuel injection but again it is like two 4 cylinders left side used the right Os sensor and the left side used the right O2 sensor all four injectors on the left or right operated the same thy just opened just before valve opening and yes if the harnesses get switched you can get a little roughness at idle. The batch firing was all that was needed to meet emission standards at that time then with increased need for cleaner operation they went through stages from 1 O2 sensor to 2 splitting the engine in half to the final sequential which is just a little better at controling emission. The ZR1 was also sequential from 90 to 95.
