I think it is going to be hard to get him down to earth now......
Do you hear a lot of difference in the motor from the stock to how it is not I know because the extra ci it will sound different but how does the cam sound?
Jay
The extra cubes made the sound drop in tone.. and the cam is definitely noticeable when the rpm's drop after it gets warm.
If you have to make a class & still want the engine broke in (nice & easy ;) ), I only need less than 2 hours notice. :jester
Actually, to you and your new ride.
Just under $3k. Labor was where I got the best deal. After the mess of the machine shop taking so long, my builder says if he does another LT1 383 again, he's charging more than $750 labor (including R&R)

One is coming alright ... just can't do it now.. it's after midnight .. I've ALMOST got this computer program thing going here ... it's only taken me 6 hours    Damn programs i'm trying aren't working .. tried to different laptops too!
I GOT THE COMPUTER TO WORK!!! WOOHOO!!!! This day is going pretty well. It's programming RIGHT NOW ... i think i'll be out waking the entire neighborhood all night tonight :)
DAMN IT .. it's dead... my battery got too low while programming it ... :cry :cry :cry :cry :cry It's a good thing I pulled the program from that thing before I killed it.
All is not lost do you have a friend that works at a Chevy or GM dealer? If you do see if they will do you a favor and what they need to do is go to any chevy with a programable PCM and request info(as if programing) then go to the terminal with the TIS2000 and go in as to get info to reprogram it will pull the info from the scan tool and ask if the VIN number is correct then just say NO they it will ask for the correct VIN then install your VIN number and let it load the info into the scan tool then bring it to your car and reprogram your computer(but make sure the battery is fully charged) and you should be OK. When you lock up the PCM like that the problem is in order to program a PCM the terminal needs to get somekind of password out of the PCM to be programed, well if it's locked up you can't get anything out so you can't go to the terminal to get the program, but if you go to a operational PCM get the code you can then go to the TIS2000 terminal then change the VIN to get the correct program and start all over again. This is kind of a trade secret you will not find it in any manual but it should work, just something to think about, sorry you don't live in Atlanta.
