Factory Engine Oil Cooler Option?
The PF1218 (114mm) is larger than the PF454 (81mm). I found that since both my 89's have the factory oil cooler option that the PF1218 installed with the filter's bottom nearly flush with the oil pan's bottom. In the land of speed bumps, I chose not to risk contact between the oil filter and anything else on the road. If you have the KC4 engine oil cooler option, you may want to use the PF454 instead.

I just ordered K&N HP-2002. I wanted to find AC Delco locally,
but owning Corvette in Croatia means that they try to rip you
off on every corner.
I ordered 4 pieces of K&N that will cost me the same shipped from USA
as 2 Delco filters locally.
