I just received my new shocks and I opened the boxes to read the documents. I have changed shocks in at least 10 of my cars in the past so I feel pretty confident about doing this until I saw these pages.
I will search the Forum to to get some real instructions but if anyone can point me in the right direction or maybe some tips I would be grateful.
Sorry the scans are sideways but you get the idea, I never knew they had to print so many pictures that don't tell me a thing and in so many languages.

Use lots of PB blaster on the top and bottom mounting bolts of each shock. You do not want to snap the bolts in the rear and not have room to drill them out. Let the penetrant sit overnight.
I see struts and a bunch of other stuff in those pages. Looks like generic instructions for many of their products. The C4 is not difficult. The fronts are a cakewalk.
They have instructions there for a bunch of different shocks - it's a pretty easy job. As janarvae mentioned, the worst part will likely be getting the bolts out on the rear, if they're corroded. One note - if you take the wheels off or have the suspension unsupported, have a floor jack under the lower mount so that it doesn't drop when you disconnect the shock.

Just put the new ones in, like the old ones come out..This is probably one of the easiest things you will do on your C4..Mine took about 15 minites per shock and mine were also KYBs...WW
The instructions are unreal, my main question is "Does the suspension need to be compressed in any way or can I just jack up the Vette and replace the shocks?"

Just jack it up, unbolt them, and put the new ones in. Grease up your ball joints will you're down there.

I put them on, it is as simple as it gets. I was strong enough to compress them by hand as I fir mine in, so I just put them right in. I hooked it on the top in the rear and pushed it up to put the bolts in. I had a little hard time with the fron, I did not even take the wheel off. It still only took me a couple of hours.
make sure the tranverse spring is supported. when I did my front, i removed the bottom bolt on the shock and the spring shot down with a great deal of force. I did'nt make the same mistake on the other side using a small jack under the spring to align the shock. otherwise very simple swap like the other members stated
