Default jump/charging Optima dry cell

can you jump or for that matter, recharge an optima blue top dry cell,..like you would any other normal battery?

You can jump it, but it's better to charge on deep cycle w/ a charger. Most chargers have a switch for regular/deep cycle.

Interesting link.

I have had luck charging an optima with a battery-tender for a few days. This is a 1.5 amp w/float charger essentially.

Optima does warn that you should NOT charge your battery on a regular charger and to only use a low amp trickle charger. The suggested link of blasting it for a few minutes and letting it cool sounds like it would work, but if you don't have the time or patients I would just stick it on a trickle charger with a float mode for a few days.

Be careful of a regular charger or the amp output of a "deep-cycle" charger switch.
