Tore off front shocks replaced and can not find something as simple as what to torque the lower and upper bolts(front and rear) to on the whole internet!
For the upper shock nuts, my 92 FSM says to tighten the front upper shock nut and lower bolts to 19 ft-lbs with the car at "trim height" This means either the car on the ground or place a jack under the front lower control arm and raise the suspension up so that its at ride height.
For the rear shocks, the upper bracket shock retaining nut is torqued to 19 ft-lbs and the lower nut to 61 ft-lbs. Again, the suspension has to be at trim height especially for the lower nut. The shock absorber bracket bolts (the ones that hold the bracket to the frame rail) are torqued to 22 ft-lbs.
