They have a short "shift lever" kit that bolts between the trans and the shifter that shortens the throw of your stock shifter. I have the kit, but I have not installed it yet....it was about 30 bucks at Mid-america. Cuts the shifter throw in half, but my fear is that it might make it even harder to shift.

I have the short lever kit. It does make the throws shorter, but you get used to it quickly. I will tell you though, I've had to re-adjust the linkage after the track a few times. It seems to hang up in the neutral position (when not in gear, some interference going into gear), and oddly enough the last time it happened I recall adjusting the reverse rod, which I hadn't done in the previous times, and it helped moreso than the 1-2, 3,4 rod adjustments. It's an easy install.

I do love the shorter throw, and for $20 I think this is a pretty good value. JMRL98 is correct though as I have experienced the same problem with interferance.

Did adjusting the reverse rod really fix this? I would never of guessed, but if so i'm going to give it a try cause mine gets a little sticky going from neutral to first or second.

If my memeory serves me correctly - it was last spring though, and been through some other mod trials since. But I do remember messing with just the other two for an unpatient amount of time, and then I adjusted the reverse, and that was it. Might have something to do with the lockout for reverse or something, I don't know, but it worked for me. Good luck.
