Are you talking about the white plastic sensor that screws into the MC bore ?

If yes, and it is leaking, a new one won't stop the leak. When these start to leak brake fluid, it usually means that the front or rear braking system has a problem, or the MC is shot.

When a hydraulic inbalance occurs between the front and rear, the proportioning valve will move one way or the other. When the valve goes too far, there is an opening which causes the sping loaded sensor to extend into the MC bore. This opening also allows brake fluid to leach into the switch. These switches are not designed to hold off fluid. The MC proportioning "switch" is a simple open or closed switch, that will set a brake warning light on your dash.

Lot's of info. using search function.

You need to remove switch and verify that you see only the proportioning valve inside the hole. If the MC is mounted on car, use a mirror and flashlight.

Here is a MC with proportioning valve in "almost" failing position. Note that if it slides any further to the left, there will be an opening which would allow the spring loaded switch to extend....setting of "Brake Warning" light.
