T56 Conversion
Hey, Im thinking of doing a T56 swap in my 80 Vette. I've been searching the threads and theirs some good information but I haven't found anyone who has done the swap with my setup. I have a 94 Lt1 out of a Vette with an automatic trans from the same 94. What parts would I need. I've looked at the 5 speed kits but their a bit pricy, I rather get a used t56. Which one is the best for my application (Vette, Camaro, Viper...)? Would I need to do anything to the computer? Any information would be much appreciated.

You need an LT1 spec f-body transmission (93-97 Camaro/Firebird). One from an LS1 f-body also won't work without swapping main shafts. A C5 T56 also won't work, and neither will a Viper unit.
